Thommankuthu
This moderate 12 KM trek is located in Idukki district, Kerala. I did the trek in Feb-2026 but the trek is most beautiful post monsoons (Sept-Oct) when there is abundant water flow in the river. Most visitors to Thommankuthu visit only the first waterfall. But to reach the gorgeous hidden waterfall, one has to do the 12 KM trek. Treks have to be booked in advance. A guide accompanies each group of tourists. A word of caution; the treck remains closed during monsoon season.
